Plot Summary:In her hospital, the committed surgeon Maja von Wiesenthal is extremely popular with all patients because she devotes herself to every little scratch with the greatest care. Her friend Frijo can only dream of so much affection: Not even on their anniversary together does Maja find time for a glass of champagne in intimate togetherness. But the self-confident career woman sees no problem in her lack of private life. That's why she falls from the clouds when Frijo packs his things one night and leaves her without warning. But Maja soon gets a replacement for her missing flat mate: her very sprightly mother Charlotte moves in with her without further ado. Allegedly to comfort Maja over the breakup. In fact, after a series of weaknesses, the family doctor gave the old lady a choice: either a nursing home or a daughter. At first, Maja is anything but enthusiastic about this \"attack\", as it is usually only a matter of minutes before the tatters fly between the two. At least the joint efforts of Maja and Charlotte have a positive side effect: For the first time in many years, a reasonably trusting relationship develops between the two women. While Charlotte keeps forging new plans to help her daughter find love, Maja begins to be interested in the life of her father Otto von Wiesenthal, who died at an early age. Her mother had always praised the man highly. Maja is all the more shocked when, during research, she discovers that Otto von Wiesenthal cannot possibly be her biological father.
