剧本很好。Elizabeth Taylor和Paul Newman的表演也都很好，他们看起来真是一对壁人。

外国版“雷雨”，一出室内“杀戮”戏，撕开富人家庭的伪善面纱，就像月光下的死鲱鱼，闪闪发光却奇臭无比。大嫂和大哥夫唱妇随，预感big daddy终日将尽，讨好的嘴脸贪婪，揭二弟伤疤，小孩吵闹，聒噪不停。big daddy才是真汉子，认为“痛苦让我感到活着”，所以他拒绝打吗啡，用雪茄和酒精做painkiller。伊丽莎白泰勒紫罗兰眼眸和Paul Newman的ocean eye，一对璧人，却生有间隙，Maggie就像a cat on a hot tin roof，咄咄逼人却被Brick推的更远，brick因为怀疑美妻与已经自杀的密友有染而对她不理不睬。在暴风雨的夜晚，每个人都在狂暴输出，最后lock the door也说明男女主最终和解。
泰勒好美
还是译为《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》合适，能呈现出家庭中每个人焦躁痛苦的状态。台词当然强，男女主人公性感养眼，角色个性突出，演技没得说。
