Plot Summary:In the early 1940s, while the U.S. was focused on World War 2, the mob moved in to control local businesses, government and officials. It's now 1947, the war is over, and the men are back. But soon after a woman's successful husband returned from the war, he was murdered. His unsolved murder left his widow, Karen Brody, financially and emotionally struggling. Losing her husband was painful enough. But working for his sleazy ex-business partner was almost unbearable.
