原始材料比较普通，所以配了装神弄鬼的音乐和声音、奇怪的叙事节奏和多余的Sci-Fi框架……导演可能觉得，正常好好讲故事观众看不懂他要表达的意思，也不够震撼。本片有很严重的智利视角，与片中说的“Antarctic family”背道而驰，这也不奇怪，因为所有论点几乎都是采访者的嘴说出来，而不是通过真诚的纪录素材表达出来。本片罗列的各种观点不证自明的正确，作为电影质量差强人意，用最后一个小孩插嘴说的词——boring。我们为什么不看文字报道，要看影像记录？视听优势在哪里？人类对大自然有种诡异的以众生名义的傲慢（非传统的傲慢），人类对这种傲慢也有一种诡异的以悲天悯人名义的傲慢。
