忽略掉殖民者的立场和女主出轨问题，还是很好看的
36版比68版好太多了，完全不是一个档次的电影。这一版基本淡化了历史事件的政治色彩，轻骑兵的事迹可以说仅是影片的一个壳，通过改编，将一个三角恋的主线故事和舍生取义的副线故事通过军旅生活串联在一起，影片的节奏从开始直到结束都得到张弛有度的掌控。虽然作为有意识倾向的作品，难以避免仍带有令人反感的盎撒文明的优越感，但总体来说，这部电影旨在刻画人心的激荡，外部事件的作用只是为了反射内在世界的样貌，爱与怒所掀起的狂乱力量让个体被情感冲动所控制而义无反顾地冲向毁灭，主人公被塑造成完美的仁智勇一体，让这种悲剧情结具有神话气质的理想美学，正因为这种超越范畴的仿佛昭示人类苦难的一般观念，让观众能从中获得共情的感受。片尾以丁尼生的《轻骑兵进击》迭和，为影片进一步加重了壮烈的诗意。
