经过四年分居生活后，Ahmad（阿里·莫沙法 Ali Mosaffa 饰）在法国妻子Marie（贝热尼丝·贝乔 Bérénice Bejo 饰）的要求下，从德黑兰来到巴黎正式办理离婚。从短暂的巴黎之行中，Ahmad看到了妻子与女儿之间冲突不断。Ahmad试图帮助其改善关系，结果发现了一段过去的秘密。Coming back to accomplish the divorce procedure, Ahmad an Iranian man, arrives in Paris after four years to meet his ex-wife and her daughters from her previous marriage. He notices his ex is in a relationship with an Arab named Samir who also has a son and a wife in a coma. The relationship of the older daughter and her mother is in deterioration because the daughter thinks her mother is the cause of Samir's wife comatose state.
