1952年，第一部超人电视剧 Adventures of Superman开始播映。随着这部连续剧的热播，扮演超人的George Reeves随之成为当时的人气偶像。他的人气一直持续至今。The Adventures of Superman总共拍摄了107集，一直播映到了1957年，成为了继超人的广播剧之后，第二长寿的超人系列。这个长达6个季度的超人连续剧，见证了电视广播从黑白到彩色的飞跃。超人也是在这一系列中，第一次以红蓝两色的经典形象展现在人们的面前。当然了，彩色电视广播是1964才发明的，所以观众所看到整个系列的片子都是黑白的，不得不说这是一个很大的遗憾。该片从第二季开始，幕后制作班底进行了大换血，超人漫画的编辑Mort Weisinger也加入了他们的行列。而演员方面，从第二季开始，扮演Lois的演员从Pyllis Coates换成了在48年..."Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound!" Mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet is really the greatest superhero of them all who "fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!"
