夜深人静，先锋（Jason Trost 饰）、魅影（Sophie Merkley 饰）、利刃（Lucas Till 饰）和铁壁（Lee Valmassy 饰）这四个超级英雄从昏迷中醒来，他们全然不知道发生了什么事，也不知晓自己身处何方，而且被个人的手臂都留下了神秘针孔。不久后，身边的电视开启，他们的老对手瑞克·肖（James Remar 饰）现身。瑞克曾设定无数号称完美的犯罪计划，但无一例外都遭到这些英雄的破坏。这个恼羞成怒的恶棍决心跟四个英雄玩上一场危险游戏，他在一百多名无辜百姓身上安装了各种致命装置，药效拯救这个城市还有百姓，超能力被锁定起来的英雄们必须按照瑞克的指示完成各种任务。 　　为难当头，这四个关系错综复杂的英雄只能团结一心迎接挑战……Four Super Heroes find themselves abducted by their Arch Nemesis and are forced to compete in a series of challenges in order to save an abandoned town full of kidnapped innocent civilians.
