巴德和莱利奉子成婚娶了典狱长的女儿，没想到婚后他们备受典狱长的欺负，巴德心生不满想闯出一番大事业，他意外听到有火车要运送废弃美金的事而心生歹念，想要抢钱来赢得地位，抢钱成功后莱利却退缩而退出，典狱长为了报复不惜威胁法官要把巴德关进他的牢里，还好莱利想办法将巴德救出，也在联邦调查局探员凯伦帮助下展开新生活，多行不义的典狱长也常到了苦果。Walrus-like warden, Sven "Swede" Sorenson, a cross between Bluto and Wimpy, runs the prison, murders convicts who escape, and has the FBI on his trail in the form of agent Karen Polarski, the daughter of the town's corrupt judge. Swede's twins tell their father they're pregnant (they aren't), so he pushes their dim boyfriends, Bud and Larry, into shotgun marriages. He also turns his sons-in-law into slave labor, so Bud hatches an escape plan: to rob a train carrying old bills to the mint for burning. Larry's his reluctant accomplice. When Bud is captured and railroaded into Swede's jail, his death looks certain, until he hatches yet another plan that requires Larry's help.
