剧情介绍

记录6名男子面临金融海啸，他们赌上一切，包括家庭、自尊，有时甚至是生命，想在阿拉斯加荒野开采金矿致富。受到父亲杰克影响，塔德霍夫曼率领一群新手矿工前进新边疆，要拯救家人脱离贫困深渊。塔德在阿拉斯加承租一处矿场，和新手伙伴一起面对阿拉斯加的壮阔和艰辛，包括即将降临的冬天会暂时中断作业和找黄金的机会。矿工们努力维持作业，想掌握自己的命运，而这个不成功便失败的事业将就此改变他们的人生。眼看在俄勒冈州的飞航生意因为经济不景气而逐渐下滑，塔德想找寻新的商机。由於金价上扬，他打算到阿拉斯加东南部开采金矿，估计当地蕴藏著价值2500亿美元的黄金。
