茜茜（特丽·霍克斯 Terri Hawkes 配音）成长在一个开明而又幸福的贵族家庭之中，在她年幼的时候，父亲经常带着茜茜上山打猎游玩，培养了她热情奔放，不拘小节的性格。茜茜公主的姐姐海伦即将同皇帝弗朗茨结婚，一家人因此应邀前往宫里参加宴会，在那里，茜茜意外的在池塘边邂逅了弗朗茨（特伦斯·斯卡梅尔 Terrence Scammell 配音），弗朗茨并没有认出茜茜的身份，却就此坠入了情网之中。 　　在晚宴上，弗朗茨违背了母亲苏菲意志，将代表爱意的鲜花献给了茜茜，这引起了苏菲的强烈不满。与此同时，天性顽皮的茜茜也并没有做好成为一名皇后的准备。
