Peter Yarrow在1978年推出由Puff及Jackie為主角的一系列動畫之一，Peter也參予配音， 負責Jackie爸爸的聲音 這首耳熟能詳的童謠收錄在Peter, Paul and Mary在1963年一張名為”Moving”的大碟內，其後登上流行榜第二位。原來當年Peter有一位大學同學Lenny Lipton有一天坐在Peter的打字機上打了一首詩，就是Puff的部份內容，Peter覺得很有趣，於是就延續將故事寫下去，就成了這首到現今仍為津津樂道的名曲。 但”Puff” 曾被Newsweek Magazine視為隱喻吸毒的歌曲，星架坡就在1963年禁播，Peter在多個場合中多次重申 “Puff” 只是一首講述小孩經歷長大後，童真隨之而去的一首童謠而已。 1981年，Peter, Paul and Mary在加拿大的一次的演唱會中，...Jackie is a boy who is so trapped by his fears and doubts that he could not communicate with anyone. His condition is so severe that the doctors are giving up and the parents are losing hope for him to live as something more than a zombie. Then, a magic dragon named Puff comes to help Jackie by taking his soul force on a wonderous voyage to his island of Honah Lee. Along the way, they have adventures that nurture Jackie's imagination and courage in unorthodox ways. However, their arrival at Honah Lee is marked with horror as they see the land despoiled and desolate which leaves Puff powerless.
