1185年，平、源两家在坛之浦展开殊死决战。落败的平家武士葛贯忠经（沢村一树饰）带着美丽的宫女光笛（成海璃子饰）逃到山形县的御释部村，却遭到村民的暗算。光笛被村民侮辱，葛贯则被推入深井活埋。为了镇住葛贯的怨念，村民在当地修建了他的佛龛加以供奉。　　800年后的今天，东京红女子高中历史研究会的四名女生在老师胜海子的带领下来到御释部村学习，他们亲眼目睹了贪心的村长（生濑胜久饰）和开发商强行推倒了葛贯的神龛。这一举动引发了巨大的危机，葛贯的忠诚部下山崎（竹中直人饰）、伊东（石桥莲司饰）、藤本、夏彦先后复活，他们连同愤怒的葛贯向当地村民展开血腥报复……A business man and a girls high-school field trip accidentally awake the defeated samurai warriors of Yamagata who return to the village of Oshakabe as Zombies to take revenge against the descendants of the town folk who double crossed them and thus fulfill their ancient curse. The greedy businessman and the mayor of the town want to turn the site of the shrines into a money making scheme replete with spa hotels and theme parks. Our school girl hero Mikayo and her class mates must use all their courage and resourcefulness to defeat the samurai zombies. With the help of Mikayo's mobile phone and the local barber turned shrine tender they battle the zombies and restore order to the town.
