'The Sacrifice' is the story of Clara, a woman of Belizean Heritage who owns a bookstore and leads a lonely life. Longing for some meaning to life she reads insightful books about omens and destiny. Clara lives vicariously through her vibrant friend Brigitte, who introduces her to the man of her dreams. He is Manuel a handsome, humble schoolteacher with a painful secret and an injured past, it is love at first sight. However before they are married Clara's world is turned upside down when on a whim Brigitte convinces Clara to visit a fortuneteller. After learning some disturbing tragic news about the future of her loved ones, Clara makes the unthinkable choice to sacrifice her love in a desperate attempt to change their fate. When she discovers that despite her efforts she may have lost all, Clara must fight to regain the love she has lost, before it's too late.
