Plot Summary:In this TV series amateur and professional portrait artist from around the UK compete for a £10,000 commission to paint a celebrity and to have their portrait included in the national gallery. The series starts with several heats in which 9 artists split up in groups of three each paint a different celebrity in front of a backdrop inspired by a famous painter. From each regional round 1 artist moves on to the half finals, from which only three move on to the finals.
