Plot Summary:On April 1, 1999, the map of Canada changed for the first time in fifty years when Nunavut, the country's largest political jurisdiction, came into existence. This documentary follows a group of typical Nunavut citizens on the day before, the day of, and the day after Nunavut's creation. They include a newly-elected young premier, an Iqaluit hairdresser, an emerging Nunavut rock-star, and a harried ex -eacher tasked with getting the fireworks right.
