Plot Summary:Life does not spoil the wayward stove-maker Agniya - she lives in the Far North in a dilapidated, poorly heated house, fishes in an ice hole and raises her son alone. Seasonal work does not make it possible to save up for new housing, and the local head of administration Boris is in no hurry to resettle people. Having agreed to Boris proposal to build a stove in his hut, Agniya gradually falls in love with him, but in the end uses him to achieve her main goal - to move to a new apartment.
