Very Good Film！！！

Clearly the director knows what she is doing and has a good sense of cinematic language.

great script and crafted with ideas and care.

Very good performances from the cast. The patients all act very well, which makes them very attractive and lovely to the audience.

This is a definitely woman-oriented movie. It's all about this female protagonist. It has got a precise description of a patient who is addicted to alcohol. And some of the problems can still echo today's topics. It tackles many problems. And I like how the movie approaches to and tackles these issues with gentleness and care. It is a film with sympathy and proper compassion. It also has many sessions that brought you laugh.

I like the end that the female protagonist does not date the guy Viggo Mortensen plays【I was watching for Viggo but he shows up very late in this movie and does not have many scenes. But he is very handsome though.☺️】. I also like the scene that the guy Viggo plays still has slept with another girl. It probably shows, men just can't change, can't they？Interestingly, in this movie, men keep repeating their mistakes but women either save themselves or destroy themselves. This is a phenomenon that still haunts in movies we produce today. And It is worth some discussion. （there was a classic masculinity scene that the Viggo guy said his bad experience but the Sandra girl refused to tell hers back.）But as for the characters and the story, this film is definitely trying to cast off the cliché that similar movies have.

It is a 2000 film, so it is very impressive that the director uses those rough, shaking and documentary-like footage ( even a little bit of avant-garde maybe？）. There were some criticism about it saying this footage is swirlingly drunk, but I quite like this kind of presentation and experiment. Bold move for the director.

The only regret is that except for the female protagonist and men around her, the other characters lack of more description, which makes them more like a tool instead of specific well-rounded human beings.

Some critics gave negative feedback, criticizing its "Hollywood-like happy ending". I understand why they say this. Because when a movie comes with a topic like this, you're probably expecting or looking for something that involves in-depth discussion and presentation. However, leaving everything on the surface without really digging them in can be a real shame.

However, I still like this movie very much. Because it is enjoyable to watch. It is fun. It's got you related. It's well directed and well cast. And it is encouraging to watch.

比如伊丽莎白·班克斯，只看过饥饿游戏的我根本不知道原来她这么有气质，she's very pretty. 以及，还有大西洋帝国的男主，竟然能够很明显的演技的进化程度。V也是。

不过V真的好帅，看见他的脸就觉得开心傻笑的程度，撩一下女主头发都觉得这动作撩到不行，啧，请停止散发你的魅力。
