Step 1. Try to build a new theory that plausibly explains a phenomena
Step 2: Seek for supportive evidences as many as possible, and find their places in this pre-built theory. All evidences that are against this theory should be ignored.
Step 3: Fight against other theories that are brought up by other archaeologists. Of course there will be no winner or loser, but at least everybody gets his fame through the arguments.
