Finally found the time to catch the first two episodes of this absolutely breathtaking series. The cinematography is absolutely stunning. Animals are so smart. Loved the tuskfish's use of a reef as a tool!
It's a harsh world all around (one abetted by human irresponsibility)--the walruses broke my heart.
From the siphonophores to the sixgills sharks, the Midnight Zone is just--terrifying. The spider crabs and corals are so pretty though. I love the sponge housing the shrimp: that they will live forever in the sponge makes me both glad and sad. Powerful storytelling going on at the BBC.
We urgently need to start loving our earth better.
