Phoenix,a quiet and peaceful movie .It's simply like a cup of ice water,cold,and you will taste nothing from it.However,you could not get rid of the sorrows from the story.
Love is so great and powerful through out the universe ,but if it has made our life more meaningful I doubt.An individual seems too feeble to challenge the whole world.When the Americans are showing their sparking superman image to the world to indicate that someone may save the world,the Chinese here are telling their children that the earth will still keep rotating without them.So what the kids have to do is to be obedient and united.AS time flies,we are just ruled by different people,apart from this ,nothing has ever changed.
To some extent,this movie resembles the Shawshan's Redemption.However, the hero is Red instead of Andy.The lovers died together in the end,without revenging,crying,or hugging,the story ended in a peaceful and elegant way.Nevertheless the compromise to one's destiny, is the overwhelmed grief in our soul.
