I think it's quite like what Victoria said in the bar that you know there were too many options in the city so that it's too easy to switch off. Like, this one looks great? But there's a basket of guys left so I'm gonna look for more possibilities. Okay it's finished. Today I've switched left to three guys.
The digital era for dating provides tons of choices for every single one. People always believe there's still something better that haven't yet to meet. But they have a zero chance to realize about that the guy in front of them is the best or most appropriate one they should get at the moment. And once they have realized it, the time passed by so as the one.
That drives to a paradox that we'll never know if the one tonight is the right one to stick with. Or should we just keep it to see more offers.
So I think that it's ture the nostalgia to miss of the last epoque at which people encountered in bars or cafes with limited options. When they tried to get someone, it was really the in-person connection. It could be felt in the atmosphere and the sparks were seen in each others' eyes. And at that moment, they would know it's it.
No tinder-like dating apps, algorithm overdeveloped, but sucks.
