看多了美国的校园青春喜剧，或励志温情，或搞笑荒诞，总都有一个光明的结局。这部片子里，虽然也有橄榄球四分卫和他的漂亮女友这种校园剧不可或缺的元素，却和迪斯尼的电影不一样。也许，是它更加真实？
除了Tracy，剧里其他人也一样的不讨喜，唯一看的顺眼些的是四分卫的les妹妹Tammy，喜欢她在竞选时的演讲：你们真的以为能改变什么吗？唯一能够影响的只有当选人自己。
Who cares about this stupid election? We all know it doesn't matter who gets elected president of Carver. So vote for me, because I don't even want to go to college, and I don't care, and as president I won't do anything. The only promise I will make is that if elected I will immediately dismantle the student government, so that none of us will ever have to sit through one of these stupid assemblies again!...
