A lot of people think that successful entrepreneurs are just happened to be in the right place at right time with the right product or right service. That is untrue. Serial entrepreneurs are psychological driven and it's usually to do with something in their childhood.

Elon grew up with a unfettered upbringing. He said that he was basically raised by books and occasionally nannies. He didn't have a lot of adult supervision，he said he was out there building explosives and learn about conduction with very little supervision. He had a passion for engineering, physics and the sciences as well.

After his parents divorced, Elon went to live with his father in 9 years old, which he said it was a huge mistake. His father was an engineer, Elon said that a lot of his engineering nous came from his father.

Elon's relationship with his mom appears to be good, and went from strength to strength. His mom was probably the ultimate optimist, who has been modeling for 50 years.

The real stellar entrepreneurs, their life experience particularly in childhood, are the determinant of their success later on. If you look at their childhood, you will find a number of adverse events, substantial adverse events like school bullying or being rejected. These events drive you, you need to prove something. You wanna gain control of a world again you didn't have control of when you're younger. And you move toward a top job, being an entrepreneur, being a CEO, which gives you power, strength and control.

Elon took on wrestling class and a bit of judo in an attempt to compensate with a bit of improved physicality, and then he grew up a little bit and really took the bullies head on.
