Now i see what a great master dickens is.
The ending, oh how dreadful! yet from the ending, we can see Dickens had to please to the readers, and make dramatic turn in favor for man, for arthur. The wheel of fortune has to hurry up its turn therefore, the audiens could be satisfied in such a flee of hours.
I rather see the true end concludes with little dorrit withhold her gift and accomdated herself to arthor, which is sad and humbling for a woman, and yet caracteristic for victorians. Im sure the feminists would have lots to comment for that ending only. But there's simply much sparklings to be counted for on the whole of Little Dorrit.
