I originally thought it was a typical modern gay movie, but set in the football world. And in some ways, it is, but in the most important aspect, it isn't -- not just that it wasn't a happy ending, but it didn't affirm gayness...? It wasn't saying being out and proud always makes one happier or at least less unhappy... Ugh, I don't know what I'm trying to say.
