Dear Salinger,

I know you would have the least interest to read all the following, but I’d like to confess that my Salinger year is 2023, which is personally, a year of great significance. Your characters, plots, thoughts do stir up some unspoken longing and fear, at least in my heart, or perhaps two. They were wrapped up in the waves or whatever it was that linked words and eyes across the dark fields and the mountain and the water of Yangtze River and the lonely roads and the separate and interminable suburbs surrounding two places that strung so far away. I ask for no reply.
