她提到她当时刚有了第一个孩子，所以开始想她和她女儿之间的connection. 而且在’Marie Antoinette’之后，她试图拍一部电影，as a palate cleanser, just to see how simple filmmaking can be. 所以，in that way, she indeed succeed.
A testament to minimal filmmaking. A document on the lonely hearts that feel nowhere belong to and the intimacy and joy they fortunately get to experience. She’s so good at depicting those small and personal moments. Kind of like ‘Lost In Translation’ in another setting - but it’s okay since it’s her signature. 清淡优雅。本片也有她特有的尴尬可爱的小幽默 & her great taste in everything. Especially loved the soundtrack, color, and cinematography - beautifully shot by the great Harris Savides. Elle Fanning太自然太美了，从小就这么美。
