看完剧被这句that’s what stars are for. 感动了。常常会想离开南京来到基督城的意义，之于我而言也是这份星星存在的重量吧。

喜欢剧里的二儿子，地主家的傻儿子气质满分，当大哥Larry找他聊天时问他Alexia离开他后的缺失的爱的感受，我们可爱的小胖说“Larry你是魔鬼吗你简直是英国讨厌代表”哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈

当Durrell夫人得知大儿子Larry可能会追随Nancy离开大家回到英国，说了违心的话之后被Larry发现对峙时说
It was my turn to be selfish.
也是莫名被戳到了泪点。
以及Mrs Durrell发现sven是gay也是温柔的和大家说婚礼取消了但是会有最棒的派对。Durrells 一起说
“They are really fond of each other but not in the right way”.
又是莫名的一阵暖流。是今年看过的最好的剧了，也是异国他乡的一点共鸣。泪点笑点齐飞争吵温情共存。
派对上好朋友对mrs Durrell说

Durrell太太没有直接回答，而是说

以及全剧的最后，小儿子要放生他的小动物们的时候说的一段话，他的忘年交theo说
Theo: Gerry loves animals, but part of loving is knowing when to let go.
Gerry: so today we are releasing my precious animal family back into the wild, where,hopefully, like us, they will thrive and have fun, and if they are lucky, multiply.

小儿子gerry说完这段之后，大家准备放生他的小动物的时候，gerry说

Gerry:I need to be with them a little longer. It’s not enough to observe them from a distance to understand them properly. You need to be with them everyday and hold them and smell them.
Gerry: anyway umm sorry. Maybe umm next week. Please go back and enjoy the party.
之后舞会上小姑娘拉起gerry跳舞时说
“This feels new”.
最后的最后
Larry还是没有离开大家反回了派对上Durrell太太和Larry聊天
Mrs Durrell: I’m proud of all of you.
Larry: well you know what they say, when you fall of a horse
Mrs Durrell: give up horse-riding?
Larry: get back on again quickly
Larry真的是越看越喜欢啊,然后Larry对妈妈说
Larry: somewhere on this island, there is someone for you
啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊真的很贴心了。
最最最最后的最后
Mrs Durrell: you know, I just dream of all four of you find happiness and fulfillment and love.
说完和Larry一起看向派对上，小女儿和Max又闹翻了，二儿子傻里傻气的吃着，有爱又无奈的Larry笑着说
Larry:this may not happen.
Mrs Durrell: it’s my job to make it happen
