【穆罕默德辞世前于麦加最后的演说（英译版）】

人们啊，请听我说，

O People！ Lend me an attentive ear,

我不知此后是否还能再与你们相聚

For I know not whether after this year

I shall ever be amongst you again.

因此，请仔细听我说，

Therefore, listen carefully to what I am saying

并把我的话带给那些今天不在场的人

and take these words to those who could not be here today

不要为人不公，

Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves,

记住将来一日，你们会见到安拉，并答复自己的行为

Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds

警惕，在我死后，不要在正义的道路上堕落迷失

So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone,

记住主最先给予的那些启示

Remember what God's earliest message was,

给亚伯拉罕的、亚当的、给穆萨、耶稣等的

To Abraham, to Adam, to Moses, to Jesus, etc.

并记住唯一和最终的真理：真主唯一

And remember the only real reality, the ultimate reality, is the one true God.

阿拉伯人无所优于非阿拉伯人

An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab,

非阿拉伯人也无任何优于阿拉伯人

Nor non-Aran has any superiority over an Arab.

白人也不优于黑人

Also, a white has no superiority over black,

黑人也不优于白人，除非因其怜悯和善行

Nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.

主将你们从异教的部落制和祖先的骄傲中召唤出，

God has called you from the tribalism of paganism, and it's pride in ancestors,

但记住，所有人都来自亚当，而亚当来自尘土

But remember, All men came from Adam and Adam came from dust.

人们啊，主说，我将你们从一男一女中创造出

O People, we have formed you from a male and a female

并使你们形成部落和国家，

And have formed you into tribes and nations

是为了使你们互相认识彼此

so that you may get to know one another

而不是让你们去战斗、压迫、征服、强迫皈依、或恐怖行为

Not so that you may fight, or oppress, or occupy, or convert or terrorise.

你们要去了解彼此。

But so that you may get to know one another.

听到我所说的人请把我的话带给其他人

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others.

其他人再传播给更多的人，

And those to others again,

愿最后的人能更好的理解我的话。

and may the last ones understand my words better,

比那些当面听我说的人更好地理解。

Than those who listen to me directly.

安拉，请为我作证：我已向您的人民传达了您的讯息

Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed your message yo your people.

人们啊，穆斯林们啊，

O people, O Muslims,

我是否已向你们履行了我的使命了呢？

Have I fulfilled my mandate to you?

（现场人群高呼：是的，我们作证）

公元632年6月8日，穆罕默德辞世，许多人不敢相信，恐慌随即蔓延，“主的使者怎么会死？”

穆罕默德最亲密的朋友 艾布巴克尔（Abu Bakr）提醒人们，穆罕默德从来只承认自己是个会死的凡人，只有主应当被崇拜而不是他本人。
