The Other Guys just isn't very funny, simply because it relies on old rehashment of awkward moment and jokes. Though I am impressed with the cameo appearances of Samuel L Jackson, The Rock and Derek Jeter, the jokes are in their cameo and not the story itself. Terry's character is boring, and the movie has little if any character progression. The story feels idle and dry throughout. Maybe it's because I was expecting some silly slapstick comedy starring Will Ferrell, The Other Guys was simply not to my liking.
