1. Deal with the unfairness life throws at you
What if you feel unfair being paired with someone who's much stronger than you than you might even have a little thought that the battle may just be a conspiracy your coach set up to protect the other singer in the expense of you?
"I can't believe this. It's so obvious that you just want to save her/him." That might be the words floating in your head, possibly even on your face, once you hear your name announced with someone strong. But what you are gonna do about it? Go to the coach and complain, hoping she/he can take that decision back just to have some mercy on you? Or, trash the show and everybody involved to others or in front of the camera about how unfair and corrupted the system is?
I'm glad and even mind-blown to not see anything like the above happening in THE VOICE and contesters choose to accept what their coach throws at them and bring the best of themselves, even though they know, like everyone, that they are the underdog of the pair.
2. What-so-ever, I'm bringing the best of myself
Yeah, obviously you are the underdog, the song is not even your type. Again, whine about it? Cure how unfair it is? No, thank god no! "I'm grateful already that I'm in this competition, and the chance to be on the stage of battle is a great plus." Sarah, the folk singer, did something like that, being herself with her own style fully equipped. I admire her for that and salute her performance then.
Even if you are meant to fail, bring out the best in you and give it a full try in the battle. Fight like a knight.
