是07年看过的不错的一部电影。包揽多项大奖，十分英国。
Stephen Graham在盖•里奇2000年的Snatch中已经很炫目， 现在更因为这部戏里的表演有理由被记住。和盖•里奇的机缘还是那么老套，陪着别人去试镜，结果自己被选中。
导演Shane Meadows基本是个全才，从编到写到导，什么都拿得起放得下。他的电影版图基本锁定于英国中部地区偏东一带——也就是他出生与成长的地方。
这部半自传电影不仅是导演在自说自话，男主角Thomas Turgoose——担当整部影片核心的12岁小孩——表演起来得心应手也因为他本身就是不良少年。导演在一群在路边抽烟喝酒的街头小孩中发掘出了他，而他一开始竟对出演一部电影表示毫无兴趣。
片中有个插曲来自strawberryswitchblade，一支短命的女子组合。只要看看戏中Smelly，就知道这只乐队的气质。不过更喜欢By the Sea，跟Dying in the Sun如出一辙，歌声中自有一种懒洋洋的甜蜜，没心没肺的悠然自得，梦游一般。
