超人：钢铁之躯

No longer the good ol' catechism at its core, as in the 78' version. Here we have the newest fad that goes something like: the hero comes from X- X turns out to be pure evil incarnate-hero betrays X- hero becomes the proud protector of American interests. That 'don't show it' theme (as in Frozen) is also to be found. Hollywood sure knows how to keep up with the newest p.c. in town.

The old version may seem rather stale today, but at least we get a glimpse of a culture that was once sure of itself, of its beliefs. That alone is worth something, no matter what you might think of their theological bent. The new core of the story is petty and positively nauseating. All the king's vfx and all the king's music scores couldn't put Humpty together again.
