The Croods is a highly anticipated film among some of my friends. I run a free cinema in the office, and when I asked what kind of films they'd like to watch, some guys just told me, "Is there any The Croods?"
So I decided to screen it today. And the projection room was very full. The film started with a family of primitives living happily in a cave until a guy with no name out of nowhere came and told them doomsday coming. Then natually the guy and the daughter became close but the no-brain dad was being very conservative. Anyway, they eventually decided to run for life, heading some place much like Mordor in LOTR thus not seemingly safe at all. Most of the scenes are so action-packed but dont make much sence because everyone is being tossed about but no one gets hurt. Also the tiger who is persistantly hunting them suddenly turned a tamed pet. Anyway they made it at last after a terrible earthquake, and the family reunited, very touching. Three stars.
