Can you lower your Triangle of sadness?

He follows the instructions given by the judges. He just want to get the job through the interview, however, the Triangke of sadness can really be lowered or eased by our efforts?

I do not even know where the name comes from until I got this line from the beginning of the film.

The triangle of sadness is the shape of our eyes, like a doomed fate, we are born to be sad, driven by the destiny to be on board in the same luxurious ship.

The crew members this ship intend to try their best to serve the customers to get good tips, those wealthy people, from the upper social class, enjoy the perfect service provided by the crew, however, they vomit terribly in captain’s party, those meal looks so delicious, why they are getting sick one by one, and eventually leading to a filthy disaster?

The captain and that Russian pig broadcast the principles of communism and Marxism while other customers are suffering from vomiting in the storm.

It seems to apply this scene to criticize the criminal of capitalism, because those people who work on this ship, those working-class people from South Asian countries are not suffered at all, they even helped to clean up the madness afterwards.

At last part of the film, some people who survived from the storm from the shipwreck were living in an isolated island. The most important thing for now is Food, exactly to say how to get food.

The woman who works for the ship before now take in charge as she is able to catch the fishes, which means she can provide the food, eventually giving her the power, becoming the king or the captain of the island.

Another benefit of being a captain is to enjoy the pleasure with a handsome young man, whose occupation is a model.

His girlfriend is jealous about this situation, however, she also surrenders for the food.

Surprisinly, the Asian lady befriends with this young man’s girlfriend lately, as she also admire this Asian lady’s ability to survive in hardship. Mem seems useless in this condition, only women can help each other out.

However at last, an elevator appeared at their discovery adventure, symbolized the possibility to return to civilization along with the class society, which mean the Asian lady will lose her power and turn back to work as a labour again.

She refuses to accept this fact.

Walking towards from the young girls’s back, holding a rock, she intended to kill this young girl, who was saying that she would like to help the Asian lady to get a good job once they back to the society.

What happened then?

The young man was running fast through the brushes to catch something or to save his girlfriend, who is becoming a sacrifice of Asian lady’s desire--a desire to be not trapped or categorized by the civilization, a desire to be free and get something they do not deserve or can not get no matter how much efforts they put in.

Triangle of Sadness--can we defend for ourselves to fight with this Triangle or dissolve it? Or can we release the Triangle that shapes our eyes, or even nature, smiling at the reality we live in, with no sadness or feeling sorry for our existence?
