Sometimes our heart will be filled with a kind of emotion, this may happen in any moment such as: listening to a piece of beautiful music, watching the sunset in the mountains, or even sit silently, we would feel a kind of satisfaction. I don’t understand where this kind of feeling come from, nor can I describe it accurately, but I know it shows a true inner-self. Those things are what I care most and represents my character.
In the film《shall we dance》,John is a successful businessman, he owned everything that we are still chasing for: a good job, a sweet family, health and so on, but he wasn’t happy. On the way home, he saw a beautiful woman called Paulina, and it appealed to him so that he applied for the dance school, but at last he finds that what attracts him is not the woman, but dancing itself. So, looking forward to something that can relax yourself and make you enjoy life. Don’t be afraid to take a different road or open a new door, maybe they are the truths for living. Life isn’t terrible, but what if you have everything and still feel empty? Boring is the biggest enemy of life, try to find something you like to do, everything will be different.
In the film, everybody is looking for something, Mr. Clark is looking for life passion, rather than answering questions in the lawyer's office; Because of a failure, Paulina try to rediscover her love for dancing; Barbie tries to show her dancing dreams to thousands of spectators; Even the Bald man are looking for his dancing opportunity. Nothing is impossible. The world is so colorful as long as you open up your eyes, you can have a colorful life! Life will always be insipid, like a cup of water, but we can change if we want! If you have the courage as John and really involve yourself into it, maybe what you need is just some “sugar” for the water.
As a person, we must love something, it’s the motivation of life; it’s the direction of life; it’s the true meaning of life. Just keep moving, Don’t forget to ask yourself a question just as John:”Is that it, then?”
