剧团里的Greenberg是个不太引人注意的小角色，他一直想有个机会表现自己，莎士比亚《威尼斯商人》里犹太商人夏洛克的台词，在电影里面经他之口出现了三次。

第一次出现，是作为一个龙套演员，希望自己的表演才能能够得到发现、能够得以展现。
第二次出现，是德国入侵华沙以后，作为沦陷区居民表达的失意。
第三次出现，是在卫生剧院行动中，他去吸引火力，作为反抗者面对党卫军表达抗争的愤怒。

这段词原本是夏洛克作为受歧视犹太人，表达和基督徒平权意愿的，而出自犹太人之口的台词，在以二战反德国法西斯为主题的电影中出现，更有感召力。
不得不说电影的编剧很高级，也不得不说莎士比亚作为大文豪亘古的永恒魅力。
